PACKING LIST

Participants will have the opportunity to assist the camp in the following projects: landscaping, cleaning, dock installation, building firewood racks, trash/water jug stands and staircases, and cutting wood. a.

What to Bring i. Check the weather! Be prepared to work in rain or shine. ii. Work Clothes - Wear clothes/shoes you don’t mind getting dirty (if you have letters you don’t mind getting dirty, they make for great work shirts especially in pictures). iii. Work boots – Depending on the weather, some groups may be trail blazing. Please be prepared to have proper shoes for working in the woods. iv. Spare pair of shoes – it may be muddy. Please bring footwear that you can wear inside the dining hall and cabins to help keep them clean! v. Weather appropriate Non-work clothes – While we will be working a lot, there will be social time during dinner and after. Bring something comfortable

and check the weather before packing. vi. Work gloves – If you have extras that you can bring for people that don’t have any, we would appreciate it. vii. Toiletry Items – We appreciate your effort in good hygiene. viii. Water Bottles – Hydration is extremely important to ensure that we are safe while working on camp. ix. Hats/Sun Glasses x. Sunscreen xi. Linens – With the camp being brand new, the camp does not provide linens. You will need to bring your own towel and sleeping bag/bed linens and pillow. b.

What NOT to bring (Note: for the safety of camp keeping its licenses, you may be asked to leave if caught with any of the following) i. Any illegal substances/drugs (this includes tobacco and alcohol) – If you are a smoker and need to smoke over the weekend, we can make arrangements for that, but the camp grounds are smoke and tobacco free. ii. Weapons of any sort (pocket knives are ok and might come in handy, but let’s be smart about what we bring). iii. Anything that would give a bad name to Phi Tau or the Camp/Network.

4) TRAVEL STIPEND – Information regarding the travel stipend will be sent out concluding the event so that you can fill out and submit your application to be reimbursed in a timely fashion. 5) NEED TO CANCEL? – If, for any reason, you can no longer attend, please let Jess Schauble, [email protected], know immediately so that we can open your spot to another brother who would like to attend.
