BOE Outstanding Service Awards Winners Each year, the Board of Education recognizes individual employees and volunteers for their outstanding service to Andover Public Schools through the Board of Education Outstanding Service Awards program. This year’s ceremony will be Monday, May 2 at 7:00 p.m. at Andover Central Middle School. Student Transfer Requests Due May 2 Annually, the student transfer request process is conducted per BOE policy and to help maintain accurate records. If you would like to request a transfer for your student for the 2016-17 school year, click here for the form. The transfer forms are due to the principal of the school that your student is assigned to by May 2. That principal will sign the form and send it on to the receiving principal. If you are an employee who resides out of the district, please send the form to the school you are requesting that your student attend.

Aetna Health Insurance – Website Tools Help Sessions A representative from Aetna Health Insurance will be in the district April 18 and April 25 to demonstrate some of the features of Aetna’s website & online tools. Kansas Supreme Court Justices in Andover Butler County Chapter of Women for Kansas, the Andover Chamber of Commerce, the Butler County Farm Bureau Association and Educate Andover are partnering to host the Kansas Supreme Court Chief Justice Lawton Nuss and Justice Marla Luckert on April 16 (this Saturday). The justices will be at Andover City Hall beginning at 2 p.m. They are in Andover discussing the state of our Kansas courts with a question and answer segment to follow. The is open to the public, so please plan to attend and share this with anyone you feel will be interested. For more information, view this flier.

AAF Presents The Truck Stops Here - May 1 On Sunday, May 1, Andover Advantage is hosting the 2nd annual craft beer and food truck festival! These two generous industries are uniting to invest in education to help raise funds and awareness for the foundation. School of Rock’s elite band “Dorothy’s Revenge” will be back for a second year and “Green Flamingos” will bring their brand of Americana Acoustic Rock. There will be lots of fun prizes to win at the “stretch” raffle again this year. New this year will be a Grant Showcase area to show the community some of the items that AAF has purchased for Andover classrooms. Admission is free! The event will be at the same location as last year - the southwest corner of Andover Road and Highway 54 (Kellogg). Click here for more information!

Certified Staff Intent to Move Forms Due April 15
New this year, all certified staff members must complete the Intent to Move form, whether you plan to move over on the salary scale or not. For the Intent to Move, we will be using TalentEd Records. You can access TalentEd Records here. Your user name is your email address. When you log-in, you will see that you have a task assigned, which is the Intent to Move form. The deadline to complete the form is Friday, April 15, per the negotiated agreement. If you have questions about MyLearningPlan, contact Kristi Huslig at ext. 21121.
