Job position: Multicultural Liaison Officer in the College of Design, Iowa State University Family: Matthew, Kaleb, and Gideon Kennis What makes you smile: Seeing the joy of children and persons with exceptionalities. What makes you cry/sad: Violence against children. There is no offense worst then hurting a child. Why Friendship: When I visited, I was overwhelmed by the love I received from the congregation. Many of the people exhibited love that you hope to see in a church. Sister Trisha gave me the most warm and loving hug, I had to come back. What is Iowa's best kept secret: Iowa is truly a place growth, beyond the corn and soybeans. For me, Iowa has been the wilderness. I feel that God led me here to draw closer to him and develop my relationship with him without distraction. How do you relax after a stressful day: I go home and spend time with my family. They always help me to remember how immensely blessed I am, outside all the chaos. To see God’s fruit before me, reliefs the trivial stress in my life.

WORDS FROM PASTOR “Joy can be defined as: a great feeling of pure pleasure and happiness. But there is a spiritual aspect of joy. Joy has 3 letters that represent the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. It also stands for Jesus Over You. The next time people and situations try to get the best of you, repeat I GOT JOY…JOY…JOY!” In His Love, Pastor Moses A. Ward
