A.N. Palmer Chapter: Making the Leap to Remarkable

January 2012

President’s Message As we ring in 2012, I realize it is time to make our “resolutions” for the A N Palmer Chapter to make our leap to remarkable as a chapter:     

We will be hosting a new member orientation in the first quarter of 2012 to complete another Chapter of Excellence criterion. We will begin the budgeting process for the 2012-2013 chapter year in the first quarter of 2012. We are striving to meet our Member of Excellence participations to meet a Chapter of Excellence criterion. We will select a delegate and an alternate to attend the IA-NE Division Annual Meeting on behalf of the chapter to fulfill a Chapter of Excellence criterion. We will be holding another fun and unique fundraiser for the Chapter starting in January. Join us at the January Chapter Meeting to hear all the details and watch your inbox for the information. We need all Chapter members to help us achieve our goals and it will be VERY EASY for all to participate. We have great programs planned for the remainder of the year and recertification points will be requested for those.

These are just a few of our goals we are working towards in the remaining six months of our chapter year. We are well on our way to achieving Chapter of Excellence this year, but we need your help as a chapter member by submitting your Member of Excellence before June 30. Don’t forget to bring your Passport to Excellence to each Board and Chapter meeting to keep track of your achievements. All Chapter members are eligible to participate. I would like to congratulate Shelby Roth, CAP-OM, on passing both the CAP and OM certification exams in November. We also hope to have chapter members attend the IA-NE Division Education Event on March 24 at the Methodist Church in Altoona. And we hope chapter members are making plans to attend the IA-NE Division Annual Meeting June 1-3 in Omaha, NE. I would like to invite of you to our next chapter meeting on January 19th at Mercy Medical Center in the Katz Conference Room. Our speaker will be Quinn Pettifer, who will present “Conquering the Corridor – Networking”. Happy 2012 to all! Sheri Jelinek, CAP-OM A.N. Palmer Chapter President
