Tandus Centiva Hosts 2014 Greenbuild Legacy Project Ribbon Cutting and Reception Dalton, GA (October 24, 2014) - Tandus Centiva hosted a ribbon cutting and reception at the Greenbuild Legacy Project this past Sunday in New Orleans. This year's project is the Center for Sustainable Engagement and Development's (CSED) Energy Efficiency Education Center. Located in the Lower 9th Ward, an area devastated by Hurricane Katrina, CSED is educating residents on the benefits of rebuilding with sustainable practices. With design being led by Amanda Rivera at Eskew Dumez Ripple Architects, the space showcases energy efficiency upgrades and will serve as an educational and training center for the community. The house is being remodeled keeping with its original barge-board design. The center is equipped with truth windows, giving visitors the ability to ‘peak through’ the construction and see types of energy efficient upgrades made to the house. Tandus Centiva luxury vinyl tile was also featured. In addition, the center is hoping to achieve LEED Silver Certification. “We are proud to be a sponsor of the 2014 Greenbuild Legacy Project.
