Converse Teams Up with Missoni for the Chuck Taylor All Star ‘70 x Missoni “Hiker” New style draws inspiration from classic hiking shoes, features premium Italian wool BOSTON (November 3, 2016) This Fall, Converse, Inc. continues its acclaimed partnership with the premium Italian knit-wear company Missoni with the release of the Converse Chuck Taylor All Star ’70 x Missoni “Hiker,” a new hi-top sneaker inspired by classic hiking shoes while staying true to the Converse’s rebellious brand DNA.
Utilizing iconic Missoni zig-zag knit, this season’s collaboration is inspired by the breathtaking mountains of Ladakh which attracted and inspired a number of rebellious spirits and rock stars alike in the 1970s. This product delivers a new style based on the iconic Chuck Taylor All Star ’70. It features a Missoni multicolor knitted premium wool upper, suede detailing and two-tone cotton lace. The collection was featured on the catwalk during Missoni’s men’s fashion show in Milan on January 16, 2016. The Converse Chuck Taylor All Star ’70 x Missoni “Hiker” launches on November 4, 2016 and will be sold online at Converse.com and at Converse stores, Missoni stores and select third party retailers worldwide. The collaboration will be available in two colorways, Slate Black/Olive and Moroccan Blue and will retail for $200 USD.
