Scripture Verse: Turn away from evil, and do good. Look for peace, and go after it. Psalm 34:14 (NIrV)

Devotional Thought: Joseph was sold into slavery by his older brothers, and he was thrown into jail because of lies. It would have been easy for him to have given up or to become angry, but he didn’t. When the king that put him into prison asked for help, Joseph gladly used the gifts God gave him to help. When his brothers came begging for food not knowing it was him, Joseph could have easily put them in prison or rejected their request. Joseph didn’t do that though. Instead, he did good and offered forgiveness. We should not take revenge or do evil. Instead, we should do good, seek peace, and go after what God has called us to do. Taking Action: On the back of this sheet is a peace sign. Write down all the things that you can do this week to show peace and do good for someone who may have been mean or unfair to you. You can also write things that you can do for strangers that are kind.
