Cornerstone Cooks The Cornerstone Program is an aftercare program of Home of the Innocents. The program helps at risk young adults lean professional and life skills in order to provide a better life for themselves and often their children. Area parishes help by preparing dinners and providing volunteer childcare while parents develop these invaluable skills. On the second Tuesday of the month members of St. Andrew’s, know as the Cornerstone cooks, gather at 5 p.m. in the upstairs kitchen to enjoy each other’s company and prepare food that will then be taken to Home of the Innocents. There are never too many cooks in the kitchen when it comes to this rewarding ministry. Contact Ruth Kempf, St. Andrew’s bookkeeper, for details about this ministry.
