This system allows stakeholders y remote access confidential patent data while maintaining high security. •The second project implemented an internal PKI system using a Common Access Card (CAC) to control both physical and logical access to USPTO resources. •The third major project focused on the cross certification of USPTO’s internal PKI system with the Federal Government’s PKI Bridge, allowing employees from other Federal, State, Local, and other trusted National governments to access USPTO resources using their PKI credentials from their employing agency. Remote Access Engineering—USmax supports a number of efforts providing secure remote access to USPTO resources.
