Minor C Tournament Rules 1. Game Lengths: a. A regulation game shall consist of a minimum of 4 innings up to 6 innings. b. No new inning after 1 hour and 50 minutes; except in the event of a tie, the game shall continue until there is a winner. 2. Field Dimensions/Decorum: a. Bases are 60’. b. The pitching rubber shall be set at a minimum distance of 42’ from the plate, up to a maximum 46’. c. Hash marks will be drawn at the midpoint between: i. First base and second base ii. Second base and third base iii. Third base and home. d. A 10’ diameter pitching circle will be drawn with the center point being 1’ from the front of the mound. e. For tournament play an out of play line shall be painted parallel to the foul line from the corner of the dugout extending out to the fence. i. All nonparticipants must remain behind the line at all times. 3. Baseballs shall be Little League approved baseballs. 4. Coaches/parents may not warm up pitchers on game days. a. Pitchers must be warmed up by a player wearing at a minimum a catcher’s mask and catcher’s mitt. 5. There is no minimum number of players required to start a game. 6. A coin toss will determine home/visitor at the beginning of each game. 7. There will be NO infield fly rule. 8. Batting Order/Substitutions: a. All teams shall use continuous batting order and free substitution. b. The batting order shall remain the same throughout the game. c. A player who misses an at bat due to injury or any other acceptable reason is not called out and the batting order collapses. i. Player may reenter the game in his/her original position in the batting order at later time.

9. The side is retired when: a. Three offensive players are legally put out. b. Or when all players on the roster have batted one time in the halfinning. c. Or when the offensive team scores five (5) runs. d. In the umpire declared open inning there is no run limit and the offensive team will bat once through the order to natural completion of the play. i. The open inning will be either the 6th or final inning as determined by the umpire. 10. Runners: a. No stealing on wild pitches or passed balls. i. Runners may not advance on overthrows from the catcher back to the pitcher after a pitched ball, not put into play. b. The ball is dead whenever the pitcher has possession of the ball with both feet inside the pitching circle. i. Any part of the foot touching the pitching circle shall be considered “inside” the circle for this rule. ii. Once the ball has been returned to the pitcher and is dead, the pitcher cannot put the ball back in play. iii. Any runners who have advanced at least halfway toward the next base will be allowed to complete their advance. 11. Defensive positions: a. Only 9 fielders are permitted on defense. b. Fielders shall be placed in traditional baseball positions. c. Managers shall allow all players to play at least 9 outs per game on defense. 12. Coaches (Defense and Offense): a. A maximum of 4 adults will be allowed in the dugout. b. Coaches must remain in or within reach of the dugout fence when on defense i. One coach will be allowed to be in foul territory to assist the catcher. c. One adult coach or team parent must remain in the dugout at all times.

d. An offensive coach may also pitch to his team; see “Pitching” for more info. 13. Pitching: a. A player pitcher shall deliver as many pitches needed per batter up to 4 called balls. If the batter strikes out before 4 called balls are thrown, the batter will be out. If the player does not strike out and does not put the ball into play before the pitcher throws 4 called balls, then the offensive coach will pitch. b. The coach pitcher shall pitch from inside the pitching circle and continue with the strike count acquired from the player pitcher. c. There are no walks. d. If a player pitched ball hits the batter, they shall have the choice of taking the base or continuing their turn at bat. e. Player pitch count shall be kept and documented using a league provided pitching affidavit. f. League age 6 year old players may not pitch. i. All others will follow green book rules for pitch counts. g. Refer to 2015 LL rulebook for player’s pitch count per age and days rest required. 14. Home team will provide an official scorekeeper. a. Scorekeeper will only communicate with the umpire during the game unless a manager approaches during a called time out or between innings. 15. Tournament shall be double elimination.
