Welcome to Hoopsisters EmbroidaBlockof the Month, Sisterhood This project will be a 5 month class. New files will be released each month. Our first class will be Jan 3rd, 9:30-12:30. Please leave your USB stick at the Sewing Center before Dec 20th so I can download your first files before class. You will need to include which format your machine uses. This will give you time to open your files, read the instructions, view the slideshow, print out the instructions for that month and do your fabric shopping. You have the option of attaching and quilting the backing as you go or finishing the usual way at the end. The optional border is a separate purchase and if you will be doing the border I suggest you get the cd available at the Center and start working on it as you go. There is no need to cut all your squares, just enough for the first class. If you are not attaching the back you will only need 2 fabrics, if doing the back you will need 3 and thread to match. The Cotton Gin has beautiful fabric and will be giving a 15% discount for this class. Included in your first files will be the Fabric and Thread Key information sheet. You also have the option of using another batting in addition to the battilizer. Adds a little dimension to your quilt and is very easy to do. I am looking forward to meeting you and creating our Sisterhood Quilt together. If you have any questions please let the Center know and they will get in touch with me. See you on Jan 3rd!
