COUGAR SOCCER CLUB MEMORIAL DAY TOURNAMENT MAY 28-31, 2010 Coaches / Managers: Your team is cordially invited to play in the Cougar Soccer Club’s 29th Annual Memorial Day Tournament. The Tournament will be held May 28-31, 2010 in Maplewood & South Orange, NJ. For over a quarter of a century, more than 2700 club soccer teams have participated in this tournament played in South Orange & Maplewood, NJ. The tournament is easily accessible from all points in the Metro NY, NJ PA, & CT. Tournament details can be found on the club website www.cougarsoccerclub.com. Tournament Facts:
Boys & Girls Club Travel Teams. All teams must be from USYSSA affiliated leagues. All games will be officiated under the USSF approved system.
All teams must register on-line @ www.cougarsoccerclub.com . Teams will be required to check-in & register Thursday evening 5/27th at the Baird Center, 5 Meade St, South Orange, NJ 07079. Registration will be from 69pm
Dates: Friday May 29th (Evening Games Based on Team Availability,) Saturday May 29 th, Sunday May 30th & finals on Monday May 31st. Teams advancing to finals, expect to play Monday May 31 st. Note-small sided games will conclude on 5/30.

The New Jersey Youth Soccer Association and the United States Youth Soccer Association sanction this tournament. Out of state players must have a validated USYSA travel permission forms.
Competitive Boys & Girls Flights: Div. #1 (U17-19), Div. #2 (U16, U15), Div. #3 (U14, U13), Div. #4 (U12, U11), Div. #5 (U10-U9). Divisions will be split by age if possible.
Division #1 - #4: Individual Awards Presented to Champions & Runner-Ups o No Scores will be posted for Div #5 Games. Participation Awards Presented to All U9 & U10 Players o Patches or Pins will be exchanged after each game (Optional but encouraged.) o MVP patches will be provided to be awarded to opposition player that demonstrates leadership and team play
Minimum 3 games. Semi Finals in some flights. All games will be two 30-minute halves. Division #5 will play 8 v 8, offside rules in effect. In the U10 and younger age groups, there will be no tiebreakers, shootouts, championship games, play-offs, overtime or champions.
Teams are not officially registered in tournament, flighted or scheduled until paid in full. All Payments are due 5/2.
Registration Fee:
$400 for U11 – U19 (Large Side) and $375 for U9 –U10 (Small Side)
Registration Deadline & All Payments Due: May 2nd, 2010
Refund Policy: Teams that paid registration fee and are not accepted, entry fee will be returned. Any team that is accepted and then withdraws the fee is 100% refundable through April 11th & 50% refundable through May 8 th. Any cancellations after May 9th the registration fee will not be returned.
No Refund will be made in the event of cancellation or shortening of any matches due to inclement weather. State rules apply if the entire weekend is cancelled due to inclement weather.
