Pastor David Bixler had the opportunity to grow up in a Pastor's home, thus was involved in ministry his entire life. He was saved at the age of nine but never really sold out to the Lord until marrying Debra Ulmer, with whom he has been married for 37 years. Over the years, he has carried out just about every task of the ministry, including janitor, Camp Director, Youth Director, Bus Director, School Teacher in the Christian School, Athletic Director and coach, song leader, and Assistant Pastor over a span of 16 years at Emmanuel Baptist Church in Williamsport, PA. In February 1991, the church asked Brother Bixler to become its Pastor. The church has seen significant growth over the 21 years he has been Pastor. Though the world seems to be a dark place, Pastor Bixler continues to lead the church to carry the Light of the world to Williamsport.
