Christian traveled to the cross via a highway that was fenced-in by a wall called “Salvation.” What does this image and the description of Christian’s journey infer about the way to the cross? 2. The main point of the message dealt with the meaning of Christ’s atonement. It means sacrifice (expiation), propitiation (penal), substitution, and reconciliation. Define each term, tell why it is an essential part of the meaning of the atonement and look up a few Scriptures related to each one. 3. At the Cross and Sepulcher, Christian’s burden fell off and rolled into the Sepulcher, never to be seen again. What biblical truth is Bunyan denoting here and what are the implications of it in your life? 4.
