Creating a Grader Account A Grader Account is a feature based on ExamSoft® Administrator User accounts that ONLY have access to assessment grading. These accounts are managed in the user account preferences section of the portal. These Users can only grade the list of assessments they have access to, based on the grading sheet associated with it. They will not initially have any other rights.

New Users will receive the following Grader Account email notification, which will provide them with their Username and Temporary Password:

Once a Grader is assigned to an assessment, that User’s account cannot be deleted or retired.

Create Grader Navigate to the Manage Graders section of the portal (Hover over your name in the right-hand corner to access the drop-down menu).

Actions Once a Grader has been added to the Grader list in My Preferences, four actions can be performed:

The Create Grader button will allow the User to create an ExamSoft Administrator account with grading-only access rights. In the Create Grader Account modal window, enter the First Name, Last Name, and Email Address of the Grader (All fields are required). Click the checkbox to pre-select the ‘Hide Exam Taker information’ option when added to a grading sheet. Note: This option is not default checked.

Edit – Click on the pencil icon to access the edit function. Note: This option will appear ONLY for Administrators with user rights privileges. Contact your Administrators to make changes to the Grader’s user account. Mail – Click on the envelope icon to email the Grader. Reset Password – Click on the key icon to reset the password for the Grader. Clicking Yes in the pop-up window will generate an email prompting the Grader to reset their password. Delete – Click on the “x” button icon to remove the Grader from your Grader list. Graders cannot be removed as an ExamSoft User Account if they have graded; however, they can be hidden from view in My Preferences.

Grader Log In Graders will log in to the ExamSoft® portal by entering their email address and password into the appropriate Administrator/Faculty fields.

If the User’s email address is already in the system, a prompt will appear asking if you would like to add this User to your list of graders. Click Yes to add them to your grader list or No to cancel the action.

New Users will be prompted to change their password.

Upon login, Users can click to Start Grading.
