Youth Mission Trip Send-Off Sunday, July 17, 2016 6:00am in The Place
Please join us in sending off this year’s group of youth and chaperones making the journey to Indianapolis for mission work! We’ll meet for breakfast and then send off our group with prayers and hugs! We really want to give them a great send-off, so all attendance is encouraged! Additionally, help is needed in providing and serving the breakfast. You can help even if you cannot attend. Please contact Michelle Matherly at [email protected] if you are able to help, whether it is donating funds/supplies or assisting in preparation and/or serving!
UMM Program Saturday, July 2, at 8:00am in The Place Join us for our monthly meeting and breakfast on July 2nd. Our program for July is presented by Bruce Luedeman. The subject is “Awareness”. In today’s world, we need to be aware of our surroundings; where we are and who else is there. Everyone is invited to attend! This is a breakfast program, so please make reservations by Wednesday, June 29th with the church office at 816-461-1101.
Children’s Clothing Give-Away Saturday, August 6 9:00-11:00am
Each Tuesday and Thursday, except Thursday, July 21 which is Food Drop day, beginning around 9:00am, we will be sorting donated clothing, coats, shoes, toys, games, etc. in The Place. We can use lots of help with this, as we have many, many bags to unload and sort. If you can come any of those days until July 29th, it would be greatly appreciated! Remember to look for purchase UNDERWEAR and SOCKS for the kids (including adult sizes for high school students). Cash or check donations with Children’s Clothing Give-Away written on the memo line will be greatly appreciated to help with the purchase of more underwear and socks. More donated clean, used clothes and shoes are needed until the time of the giveaway on August 6th. If there are any questions, contact Buttons Jimerson at [email protected].
