Class List for Winter 2012. Welcome experienced, Judy Niemeyer certified, quilting teacer Maureen Wood! Maureen is a local quilt teacher with lots of tips and tricks to share. This one day class is designed to teach the simplicity of Judy’s paper piecing patterns. The simple stack & slice techniques as well as chain piecing skills are just some of the techniques learned as you create this beautiful quilt. This class will be held at Mt. Seymour United Church. Lots of room to spread out.
Retreat! Retreat! No this is not a War Cry! This is a shout out to MARK YOUR CALENDAR for a day of sewing, fellowship and fun. Retreat dates: February 18th, April 21st and June 23rd. All retreats are held at Mt Seymour United Church from 9am-8pm and include lunch and supper, your own table, and lots of fun. BLOCK OF THE MONTH MYSTERY STORY QUILT Brilliantly written, “Tea with Ms. Bixby” is a suspenseful story of murder & trickery. Discover the blocks as we read through the mystery. The 12 blocks will finish at 12 inches & each will contribute to an ongoing segment of the story. This BOM will begin mid February & continue with monthly installments. Meet with us on Saturday April 28th, 10:00—11:30 for sharing, and mystery cups of tea! A second meeting will be determined at a later date. Your monthly handouts will be available for pick up after the 15th of each month. A limited number of kits will be available for an additional fee and must be reserved. Join us once a month at the Creative Edge as we pool our various talents to bring you interesting projects aimed at sewing for the holidays or for gift giving. Some projects will have a kit for your enjoyment and some will require a supply list. We have lots of gift & sewing ideas we can't wait to share. A variety of teachers will teach separate projects to inspire and excite.
