Three Feet from Gold

Concept Summaries Introduction In talking with James Amos, Greg learned that “Every wealth creator is crystal clear about two things: a vision and a mission…all due diligence is historic; it’s all about the past. But all decision-making is about the future. Vision comes from the people who can take that slim degree of awareness, make a decision, and be prophetic with it. “ Without vision, there is no way for you to see opportunities that are standing right in front of you. The most successful people in the world not only saw opportunities, but they were also able to MAKE opportunities—to seemingly create them out of thin air. Without Creative Vision, you cannot do this for yourself. Sometimes you will encounter bumps in the road that could throw you off course or send you in the best direction possible. Other times you’ll run into a brick wall. When that happens, you’ll have to summon the best Creative Vision you have. As Bob Proctor told Greg, “If you want something to change, then change the way you look at it.”

Why Is Creative Vision Important? Herbert Spencer said, “There is a principle which is a bar against all information; which is proof against all argument; and which cannot fail to keep a man in everlasting ignorance. This principle is contempt prior to examination.” In order to step outside of our everyday lives and see new opportunities and solutions, we have to open our minds. We have to embrace Creative Vision. Creative Vision is the capacity to envision new possibilities, dream new dreams, and tap into the vast powers of the universe that permit you to build a new

Three Feet from Gold tomorrow as you achieve your Definite Major Purpose. Locked deep within your mind is a vast reservoir of creative ability and intuitive insights waiting to be released. Creative Vision helps you tap into your inner resources to unleash the wonderful creative potential you already possess. Imagination is the key to all outstanding achievements, the mainspring of all human behavior, and the door leading to the inner-self. Without our creative capacity there would be no real achievement. Creative Vision is much more than simply a game of “Let us try to think of a new idea.” What the layperson commonly describes as “imagination” is confined to being part of the intellect. Instead, Creative Vision is an extension of your mind into the creative ether of the universe. The difference between genius and mediocrity, is that genius is the product of Creative Vision while mediocrity is the product of the unimaginative. Creative Vision has been responsible for all the big events of both the last century and the new century. This “dare-to-do spirit” inspires individuals to pioneer and experiment in every field of endeavor. It has also been responsible for the scientific inventions of modern times that led to steamboats, railroads, electricity, steel and iron, department stores, skyscrapers, automobiles, airplanes, plastics, computers, atomic energy and space ships. It is what has brought us to the genetic engineering age. Creative Vision is forever on the lookout for better ways of doing people’s labor and supplying people’s needs. It’s something you’ll only experience if you’re Going The Extra Mile. Creative Vision recognizes no such thing as regular working hours. Monetary compensation is not Creative Vision’s highest aim. The aim of Creative Vision is to do the impossible. Many great leaders began their careers in the humblest of positions. They did not complain of lack of opportunity.

3

Three Feet from Gold Great creative leaders do not allow themselves to become victims of circumstance or analysis paralysis. They refuse to let the following thinking or statements get in their way: • • • • • • • • •

We tried that already. The timing is all wrong. There is only one right answer. We have never done it that way before. It is not compatible with our current system. It is against company policy. We are not ready for that. It is not possible. It may cost too much.

Creativity and Faith It may surprise you to know that the most creative people have some form of faith. What wouldn’t surprise you is that faith gives these people permission to explore possibility. They believe that a solution is possible—regardless of how overwhelmingly difficult it may seem.

Synthetic Imagination & Creative Imagination There are two types of imagination: synthetic and creative. Synthetic imagination is a combination of already existing, recognized ideas, concepts, plans or facts arranged in a new order or put to a new use. Creative imagination is the part of the mind that serves as the medium by which new facts or ideas are revealed through the faculty of all your senses. The people, who are capable of tapping this resource, are open to spending time staring for hours at a problem. They are the types who will keep trying because they believe there is infinite gold in ideas.

Tapping Your Creativity Every person Greg and Sharon spoke with as they looked for the trends among the highest achievers had to face incredible odds. In order for them to create their opportunities they had to have a Definite Major Purpose and they had to be willing to Go the Extra Mile. If you wish to be creative, spend considerable time collecting ideas. Play—do not work—at generating ideas. Write the good ideas down in your journal. Do not strain for ideas because this kind of tension will block your creative process. If nothing is happening, take a walk, meditate, take a nap, or involve your mind in some other distraction. Share your ideas with your Master Mind Alliance, and if they say, “Why hasn’t anyone thought of that before,” you know you have a good idea. While imagination recognizes limitations, handicaps and opposition, Creative Vision rides over these as if they did not exist and arrives at its destination. Imagination is seated in the intellect of men and women. Creative Vision has its base in the spirit of the universe that expresses itself through the brain. According to Dr. Elmer Gates—whose scientific inventions, as disclosed by the records of the U. S. Patent Office, outnumbered those of Thomas Edison twoto-one—here is how he would categorize the source of most world-changing ideas: 1. The storehouse of the memory and knowledge acquired from individual experience, observation, and education. 2. The storehouse of knowledge accumulated by others through the same media, which may be contacted through association.

5

Three Feet from Gold 3. The universal storehouse of Infinite Intelligence, wherein is stored all knowledge and all facts, which may be contacted through the subconscious section of the mind. Nothing is impossible for people with Creative Vision. Creative people are the builders of civilization, the inspirers of individual initiative, the builders of empires, the protectors of liberty. Wherever women and men with Creative Vision are found, there also will be found progress, prosperity and the highest standards of living. One common weaknesses many of us have is that we envy people who have achieved the highest levels of success. We notice them during the hour of their triumph without taking note of the price each had to pay for their success. We may erroneously believe that they owe their success to some sort of pull, luck or dishonesty. While luck always plays some role in people’s lives, it plays a lot smaller role than most people give it credit. Personal achievement, power, fame and riches—each has a definite price, and the person with Creative Vision not only knows the price but is willing to pay it. People with Creative Vision understand the benefits of sharing their blessings, their experiences and their opportunities with others. They recognize that only by this method can they attain and enjoy enduring prosperity, happiness and the respect of other people. If you are ready to embrace Creative Vision consider this: the combined Creative Vision of several minds, directed toward a Definite Major Purpose in a spirit of harmony, is the very heart of the Master Mind Alliance principle. This type of Creative Vision is a tremendous source of power. If you don’t know where to start, look to your own Master Mind Alliance. Nothing can stop gifted, creative people who make a habit of exchanging ideas with like-minded people.

TA P I N T O YOUR CREATIVE R E S E RVE: MEDITATION Meditation conjures up different things in people’s minds—eastern religions, hypnosis, etc. But what they may or may not understand is that many of them are meditating without thinking about it. In a way, when people toss and turn in bed mulling over their problems they are meditating. They are relaxing their bodies, trying to clear their minds, and then solutions come to them. You can sleep better if you take the time to do this while awake. To meditate: 1.Set aside ten minutes in the morning or evening. Find a comfortable place to sit. Focus on relaxing all the mucles in your body . 2. When you begin to feel relaxed, start taking very deep breathes. Try to make each breath deeper than the last. Slow you breathing down and try to make it as deep as possible. 3. Visualize each breath inviting power and strength and inifinite wisdom into your body and mind. Focusing your mind on this visualization will clear it of all noise. 4. If you have a problem or concern you want to focus on, then once you feel clarity, summon the problem in your mind. Act As If in your visualization. Think beyond the problem by visualizing yourself having already overcome it. 5. Now think backwards into possible ways that you were able to overcome it.
