Credit Risk Management Minimizing credit risk is one of the most important responsibilities of financial institutions today. This seminar intends to elaborate on the Credit Risk Management at an advanced level. It aims at adding value to the financial institutions that deal with Commercial Businesses and Retail Lending or wish to expand on the implications of key areas of the Credit Risk Management. It will analyze the significant issues associated with credit facilities at an advanced level from the time of planning to repayment or recovery of money and emphasize on implications of these issues on the organisation. To highlight some of the banks’ risk exposure the seminar aims at reviewing case studies that tackle the areas unique to banks.

Mr. Soteris Komitis is an experienced professional banker working with one of the largest banks in Cyprus since 1980. His most recent positions include: Jan 2009 – to date: Manager of Trade Services, Cyprus 2008: Assistant Manager of Trade Services, Cyprus 2006 – 2007: Head of Trade Services for the Nicosia region 2000 – 2005: Head of Operations Analysis Department of the Bank´s Group Organization and Methods Services 1997 – 1999: Branch Manager He has been a tutor in the banking/finance sector for the last 16 years and he specializes in the theory and application of International Trade Finance, Lending, Risk Analysis & Evaluation, and other related topics. Soteris is a professional banker himself and is a holder of the following UK professional and academic qualifications: - ACIB (Associate of the Chartered Institute of Bankers - UK) - MSc in Training (Masters Degree with University of Leicester) Soteris likes to make his teaching a lively, emotional, hands-on, and therefore a memorable experience.
