Dedicating Your Child Criteria for Dedicating a Child:
Important Details
1) Parents must be biblically married or a single parent living biblically may dedicate a child.
Please bring your pictures on a CD or a USB flash drive to the Children’s Welcome Desk, Sunday Morning Office or the Church Office no later than 2 weeks prior to the Sunday of the Dedication. Be sure to label your CD or flash drive with your child’s full name. Emailing photos is not recommended.
2) Parents dedicating a child must have a desire to bring their child up in a Christian home. On Sunday, May 14 Parent - Child Dedications during both morning services. This is a special opportunity to publicly commit yourself to Christian parenting as our church family agrees to love, encourage and support your endeavors as a parent. On Tuesday, May 9, 6:30 pm Pastor’s Reception for those dedicating a child. Brother Steve will have a short message for parents and we will go over the details of the Dedication Service. At least one parent must attend the Pastor’s Reception. If there is a conflict please call Brenda Loftus at 797-9704.
3) Photos must be provided by the deadline (Sunday, 2 weeks prior to dedication).
Photos Needed:
A family photo
A newborn photo of your child
A more recent photo of your child
If you are dedicating more than one child please provide 2 photos of each child, without other family in these photos
If you have a scripture verse with special meaning for your child and would like that verse to appear on your child’s Dedication Certificate please include the verse with your photos. You may RSVP on the church web page or complete and return the back panel of this brochure to the Children’s Welcome Desk, Sunday Morning Office or Church Office. If you do not meet the criteria for dedicating a child and would like to speak with someone about how to rectify the situation, please feel free to contact Children’s Minister Brenda Loftus at 806-797-9704 or [email protected].
