CROWNING TOUCH St. Louis Alumnae Chapter of Zeta Tau Alpha | 2013-2014
Join us this year and master The Art of ZTA Sisterhood! The St. Louis Alumnae Chapter of ZTA presents a year of Zeta experiences designed with YOU in mind. We’ve crafted a creative calendar inspired by our Fraternity, which daily inspires each of us to explore our own unique, individual talents.
We invite you to make the most of your lifetime commitment to Zeta Tau Alpha by becoming a member of the St. Louis Alumnae Chapter. Membership in the chapter connects you with a dynamic group of women of all ages and life stages, who live all across the metro area and represent collegiate chapters near and far. Alumnae chapter membership offers fun and friendship; a variety of programs, service and philanthropic opportunities; and the chance to develop leadership skills while ever enriching our lives. HONORING TWO SPECIAL SISTERS
Y
Lynne Kipp Christianson & Margaret “Polly” Shook Cummings
Y
Last year, the St. Louis Alumnae Chapter mourned the passing of two longtime members, Polly Cummings (Alpha Beta) and Lynne Christianson (Alpha Psi). Lynne and Polly helped shape our chapter through their decades of dedicated involvement. They are missed. They will be forever in our hearts. This year, we wish to honor the memory of these special women by funding two Zeta Tau Alpha Foundation Recognition Scholarships in their names. The chapter’s contribution commitment for each scholarship is $1400. Individuals wishing to make a contribution toward these scholarships may send checks payable to Zeta Tau Alpha Foundation to: Janet King, Attn: ZTAF Recognition Scholarships, 1822 Sumter Ridge Ct., Chesterfield, MO 63017. Contributions also may be brought to any of our alumnae chapter events this year. As she reflected on her life in Zeta Tau Alpha, Lynne shared these words: “I loved every minute of it and I love all my dear sisters, young and older, who have supported me and gave me courage during all my illnesses. Many think sororities are just social, fun-loving organizations. They do not see the way we serve God and humanity. I am proud to be a Zeta.” ZETA IS FOREVER. -----
SAVE THE DATE FOR ZETA DAY IN ST. LOUIS! Missouri - Kansas Zeta Day Saturday, April 5, 2014 The St. Louis Alumnae Chapter is honored and excited to host hundreds of our alumnae and collegiate sisters from across Missouri and Kansas during Zeta Day 2014! Zeta Day is a celebration of sisterhood! We’ll announce the venue and other details soon. To find out how you can help make this the best Zeta Day yet, contact our Zeta Day Co-Chairs: Michele Bunch (
[email protected]) and Michelle Schaeffler (
[email protected]). St. Louis alumnae (plus an adorable ZTA legacy) enjoyed “A Day at the Oaks” in Lawrence, KS, during 2013 Missouri-Kansas Zeta Day in April. In 2014, we’ll bring the Zeta Day fun and friendship to St. Louis. You won’t want to miss it!
