The Irvington High School JROTC male Raider Team won six (6) event trophies on Saturday, May 8, 2016 at the 2nd Bde Raider Challenge competition at Fort Dix, NJ. Raider Commander Cadet Captain Browne said “Unbelievable and it was a great moment for the Irvington Raiders.” “We’ve been pushing really hard all season, and the other teams haven’t known who we were. “Now everywhere we go, people know who Irvington Crusader is.” Again Cadet Sergeant Major Shannon echoed these thoughts. This is an impressive showing for the male Raider Team at their second Brigade Open level competition - Job "Well Done!" to all team members who worked hard to achieve these results. The events, which tested the Raiders’ academic abilities as well as mental and physical toughness, included an Raider Gauntlet Course, a 3-Kilometer team run, a timed rope bridge race, a simulated cross-country rescue mission and Raider Physical Challenge Test.
