CSYAA Spectator and Guardian Code of Conduct Everyone during registration agreed to abide by CSYAA rules and guidelines as a pre-requisite for playing in our league. Here is the code of conduct CSYAA will hold spectators and guardians to at all CSYAA games and/or practices. As a spectator and/or guardian I will, 1. Cheer for the players, let the coaches coach, let the umpires ump and let the players play. 2. Respect the schedules of the coaches and teammates by having my ballplayer arrive on time for practices and games and will notify my coach if my ballplayer will arrive late, unable to attend or if I plan to leave my child(ren) unattended at any time during the game or practice. 3. Take full responsibility for my child(ren)’s safety and behavior understanding that all playground and areas at ballfields/practices are unsupervised since volunteers are focused on duties related to game action. 4. Demonstrate positive support for all players, coaches, officials, board members and spectators at every game or practice and will not engage in any kind of unsportsmanlike conduct such as but not limited to: booing and taunting, refusing to shake hands, threats – direct or implied, profane language or gestures. 5. Encourage my child to participate in sports but never force them to play because children participate to have fun and that the game is for youth, not adults. 6. Offer only support for players or coaches before, during or immediately after games. All questions/concerns regarding players or coaches will be addressed the day after the game in an atmosphere and in a manner that helps resolve any possible issues. 7. Submit in writing or electronically to the League Board of Directors complaints regarding violations of 1) CSYAA rules or 2) this code of conduct. Feedback will be sent to
[email protected] ATTN: President and/or VP for Baseball, Softball within 72 hours of the event in question. 8. Inform the coach of any physical disability or ailment that may affect the safety of my child or others. 9. Learn the rules of the game and the policies of the league. 10. Refrain (along with any of my guests) from bringing the following to the CSYAA ballfields or CSISD practice fields: animals, skateboards, bikes, scooters, tobacco, alcohol, illegal drugs, or guns. 11. Abide by all parking regulations and understand that any violation will result in my car being towed. 12. Do my part to keep CSYAA and CSISD fields litter free and the best environment for our young athletes. Any spectator/guardian guilty of improper conduct at any game or practice may be asked to leave the location and can be suspended. Repeat violations may cause a multiple game suspension, or the season forfeiture of the privilege of attending all games.
