from the County Board to move forward with the design of the new Lubber Run Community Center which will include moving the Culpepper Garden Senior Center to the new building. - Moving the senior center to the new location will give the 55+ participants more amenities and programming opportunities in a new community center. - After the renovations are complete, Culpepper Garden (CG) plans to have multipurpose space for the residents. DPR will work with CG management to determine if some of the volunteer led programs can continue at Culpepper. - The County will be issuing a Request for Proposal (RFP) for the design and engineering services for the Lubber Run Community Center project in anticipation of making a selection by fall 2016. The County will then kick off a community engagement process to work through the design of the new center and adjacent open space. - Stay up to date with the project by signing up for the Lubber Run Community Center Project website: https://projects.arlingtonva.us/types/parks/lubber-run-communitycenter-project You will receive updates as the project moves along and invitations to be involved in the community engagement process. - Check in regularly at the senior center for updates on classes and programs that may be moved in upcoming months
