Objective: Seeking an internship position in the field of Photonics, Optical Engineering or Optical Metrology.
Work experience: Graduate research assistant (January 2014 – Current) Center for Freefrom Optics (CeFO) in University of North Carolina at Charlotte, NC
Developed methodology and software to fully characterize freeform surfaces and specify the mid-spatial frequency on these surfaces. I am currently investigating the effect of mid-spatial frequency on the optical performance.
Graduate research assistant Micro Photonics Lab (MPL) in Clemson University, Clemson, SC
Designed and fabricated Fresnel axicon and vortex phase element to generate helical Bessel beams. These optical elements were generated in photoresist using a projection stepper and dry etched into the substrate. They were successfully tested with ultrafast lasers to generate air filaments.
Graduate teaching assistant Department of Physics in UNC Charlotte
(January 2012-Dec 2013)
(August 2010-Dec 2011)
Taught undergraduates from different disciplines to conduct Physics experiments.
