这个礼拜天是你的生日,你打算怎么庆祝? zhè ge lǐbàitiān shì nǐ de shēngrì, nǐ dǎsuàn zěnme qìngzhù? This Sunday is your birthday, how do you plan to celebrate?

B:

还没想到,每年都吃蛋糕,有点腻了。 hái méi xiǎngdào, měinián dōu chī dàngāo, yǒudiǎnr nì le。 I still haven't thought of anything, I've gotten a bit sick of eating birthday cake each year.

A:

也是,不过生日没有蛋糕,好像怪怪的。 yě shì, bùguò shēngrì méiyǒu dàngāo, hǎoxiàng guàiguàide。 True, but birthdays without cake seems a little weird.

B:

有的人会自己做蛋糕,但是好麻烦。 yǒu de rén huì zìjǐ zuò dàngāo, dànshì hǎo máfan。 Some people make their own cake, but it's a lot of hassle.

A:

这样吧,弄个定制蛋糕!看你想要什么形状。 zhèyàng ba, nòng gè dìngzhì dàngāo! kàn nǐ xiǎngyào shénme xíngzhuàng。 How about getting a custom made cake! Think about what shape you'd like.

B:

定制蛋糕?这倒不错! dìngzhì dàngāo? zhè dào bùcuò! Custom cake? That sounds good!

A:

是吧?喜欢什么形状?

B:

沙滩!还要有个凉亭、排球场、吧台。 shātān! hái yào yǒu gè liángtíng、 páiqiúchǎng、 bātái。 A beach! And a pavilion, a volley ball court and a bar.

A:

再来几棵棕榈树! zài lái jǐ kē zōnglǚshù! And how about a few palm trees!

B:

就这么决定了,走!订蛋糕去! jiù zhème juédìng le, zǒu! dìng dàngāo qù! So that's decided then, let's go! Let's go order a cake!
