We are currently trying to extend the Early Activation Model for EGFR activation and ubiquitination, to include EGFR endocytosis in a time-resolved approach, to infer about possible cancer-relevant biological behavior of EGFR system.

Research: A model for EGFR ubiquitination and endocytosis EGFR ubiquitination and activation play an important role in the receptor’s internalization and degradation. Deregulation of these events can lead to pathological conditions such as cancer. With a mathematical model we were able to describe the early phases of receptor activation, with the aim of correlate deregulation of the system with perturbations relevant to cancer.
