2008-2011 2004-2008 1998-2003

PhD course in Molecular Medicine (Molecular Oncology) at SEMM (European School of Molecular Medicine), an international PhD program. PhD awarded by Milan University. Dissertation title: “Integration of modeling and experiments to define principles of EGFR activation and ubiquitination under physiological and pathological conditions” Molecular Biotechnology master degree – Bologna University Grade 110/110 with honors. Dissertation title: “Qualitative to quantitative analysis of receptor tyrosine kinases ubiquitination: the case of EGFR and IGF-1R” Molecular Biotechnology bachelor degree – Bologna University. Dissertation title: “Food allergens: development of a molecular assay for the detection of crustaceans in foods” (dissertation in italian) High school diploma with mathematics and informatics specialization awarded by the “Liceo Scientifico N. Copernico” in Bologna

EXPERIENCE March 2016 present Job: researcher

Post-Doctoral fellowship at IFOM, IFOM-IEO campus (Milan) in Pier Paolo Di Fiore group. Research: A model for EGFR endocytosis. We are currently trying to extend the Early Activation Model for EGFR activation and ubiquitination, to include EGFR endocytosis in a time-resolved approach, to infer about possible cancer-relevant biological behavior of EGFR system.

December 2011 March 2016 Job: researcher

PhD student at IFOM (Milan) in Pier Paolo Di Fiore group. Research: A model for EGFR ubiquitination and endocytosis EGFR ubiquitination and activation play an important role in the receptor’s internalization and degradation. Deregulation of these events can lead to pathological conditions such as cancer. With a mathematical model we were able to describe the early phases of receptor activation, with the aim of correlate deregulation of the system with perturbations relevant to cancer.

April 2011 – December 2011 Job: researcher

Temporary fellowship at IFOM (Milan) in Pier Paolo Di Fiore group. Research: A model for EGFR ubiquitination and endocytosis. Initial validation of the model.

March 2010 – March 2011 Job: researcher

Undergraduate student at IFOM (Milan) in Pier Paolo Di Fiore group. Research: Qualitative to quantitative analysis of EGFR: development of a quantitative assay based on a modified ELISA (DELFIA) to follow EGFR ubiquitination and phosphorylation.

March 2007 – July 2007 Job: researcher

Undergraduate student at Biolab s.p.a., via del Tuscolano, Bologna. Research: development of a qualitative assay to detect food allergens in complex food matrices. Particularly, I focused my attention on finding crustaceans allergen (tropomyosin protein) by PCR analysis, looking for a specific target in the genome.
