CV3550 Double-Sided Cover Stitch Overview The CV3550 Double-Sided Cover Stitch allows you to create a wide range of cover stitches on all types and weights of fabric for both decorative and constructive applications. It features both single-sided and double-sided tri-cover stitches, wide cover stitches, narrow cover stitches, as well as a chain stitch. Additional points include a free arm, LED light, thread cutter, color-coded threading, easy looper and cover spreader threading, a presser foot pressure dial, and snap-on feet. The adjustment dials for stitch length and differential feed are now conveniently located on the righthand side. With three needles, one lower looper, and one cover spreader, the CV3550 creates not only professional hems and chain stitching, but it allows you to add double-sided cover stitching to your projects for a special one-step finish – previously unavailable! Extra large 6.1" x 3.9" workspace • Comfortably work on projects with ample free space surrounding the needle. One-touch tension release lever • Simply lift the presser foot lever to release all the thread tensions for easy removal of fabric. The tensions remain open until you lower the presser foot again for ease of use. Double-sided cover stitching • Capability to make double-sided tri-cover (6mm), wide cover (6mm), and narrow cover (3mm) stitches. The cover stitch will appear on both the top and bottom sides of the fabric. Single-sided cover stitching • Capable of making single-sided tri-cover (6mm), wide cover (6mm), and narrow cover (3mm) stitches. The cover stitch will appear on the bottom side of the fabric, while a top stitch will appear on the top of the fabric.
Fast and easy looper and cover spreader threading • Whether you’re threading only the looper for a single-sided cover stitch or the cover spreader for a double-sided cover stitch, we know you’ll enjoy fast and easy threading. Adjustment dials on right-hand side • The differential feed and the stitch length adjustments are conveniently placed on the right-hand side of the cover stitch machine. Color coded lay-in threading • Follow a single colored line per thread as a guide for easy threading. Optional attachment ready • Comes complete with the mounting holes for using the many kinds of attachments Brother has available as well as many competitors' attachments. Up to 1,000 stitches per minute • Sew up to a speedy 1,000 stitches per minute.
Chain stitching • This cover stitch machine has the capability to make a 1-needle, 2-thread chain stitch.
Metal thread antennae • Thread antennae is metal for added strength.
Free arm • We’ve added a free arm to make sewing necklines, hemlines and cuffs even easier.
Presser foot pressure adjustment dial • Easily adjust the pressure of your presser foot with the adjustment dial located on the top of machine, above the needle. Simply turn the dial to the left or right to adjust.
Cool LED light • The addition of the LED light adds not only brightness, but reduces the heat put off by a standard light bulb. Thread cutter • Accessible thread cutter for added efficiency.
