We successfully deliver Mission Assurance Category 1 (MAC-1) weapon systems that meet current C&A requirements. Next Steps – A Trusted Resource General Dynamics offers state-of-the-art solutions and support for future developments such as the enclave approach to cyber security, storage security requirements and the monitoring of trusted traffic to deter insider threats. Supporting the United States Air Force Our implementation of the Air Force NIPRNet Gateways (formerly known as AFNet Increment 1) delivered the Air Forces’ next-generation boundary security and global enterprise infrastructure by integrating state-of-the-art boundary protection technologies into a consolidated unified threat management platform (UTM). The modernization phases that will follow will further strengthen network defenses and resilience at all levels of the Air Force. As the prime contractor for the program, General Dynamics partners with the Air Force to deliver and sustain this major redesign of their unclassified and classified network management and network defense (NM/ND) architecture by consolidating 104 boundary access points to 16. This effort has standardized the Air Forces’ Security Boundary and its connection to the Global Information Grid (GIG), providing enhanced security and protection for their enterprise and critical missions.
