No school the rest of the week – we hope everyone has a great Thanksgiving break! Art Club meeting in Ms. Spangenberg’s room during homeroom today. If you are attending the ACT Power Prep course in Waverly on November 28th, your permission slip is due to the guidance office by the end of the day today. Thanksgiving is coming! An opportunity to serve our community has presented itself. There is going to be a Community Thanksgiving meal on Thanksgiving Day. They are looking for volunteers to set up and serve. Set up will take place on today at the 4-H building at Kelly Park. Set up will include table set up, decorating, setting up roasters, plates and setting out silverware. Serving on Thanksgiving Day, Thursday, November 23rd will be done in two shifts. The first shift will be from 10:00-2:00 p.m. and the second shift will be from 2:00-4:00 p.m. and will include tear down. Please contact Vicki Vankooten at 785-241-3352 to let her know if you would like to help. FFA members: your fundraising items need to be picked-up after school Monday, November 27th. Students wanting to go on the Spanish Club field trip to Kansas City need to see Mr. Samuelson to sign-up and get a permit slip. The signed slip and $5.00 are due Tuesday, November 28th to Mr. Samuelson. If you are wanting to take the December 9th ACT, the late deadline has been extended to NOVEMBER 26th! Register online at www.actstudent.org! FCCLA members planning on working the Wolf Creek Christmas party need to sign up in Mrs. Hanson’s room soon so we can get a head count.
