Pathways 



Animal Science – includes the study of anatomy and physiology, genetics, reproduction, nutrition, common disease and parasites in large and small animals. Food Science – includes the study of food processing, food chemistry and physics, nutrition, food microbiology, preservation, packaging and labeling, food regulations, issues and careers in the food and science industry.

Natural Resources – students will investigate areas of environment concern with soils, the water cycle, air quality, outdoor recreation, forestry, rangelands, wetlands, animal wildlife and safety Plants & Soils – includes the study of plant growth, reproduction, photosynthesis and respiration, environmental factors that affect plant growth, soil conservation and crop systems.

Some Ag classes in each pathway can qualify for Ivy Tech dual credit or Purdue is offering an “Advanced Credit Exam” format with the Advanced Life Science classes.
