Post Skills Camp—June 28 9am—12pm 6th-12th grade
Shooting Camp—July 17 9am—12pm 3rd-12th grade
The undersigned, being a parent of legal guardian of the child requesting camp admittance, does hereby affirm that the applicant is in good health and suffers from no illness, disability, or condition that requires the taking of medication on regular basis unless that condition is disclosed and approved. Furthermore, the undersigned has no knowledge of any reason the applicant cannot participate in vigorous physical activity. The undersigned hereby expressly agrees to be responsible for any medical bills incurred in the treatment of any illness or accident. In the event of any such accident or injury, I hereby consent to allowing any of the camp supervisors to procure any medical treatment deemed advisable on behalf of my child or ward without prior consent. I understand that, as a condition of admittance as a cap participant, the undersigned, on behalf of all parents and guardians, and behalf of the applicant, hereby releases Newman University, Darin Spence, and all other employees or agents of the camp from any and all liability from injury or illness, mental or physical suffered by the league participant during or related to the camp, unless caused by willful act or gross negligence by the person or entity against whom the claim is made.

About the Coaches Head Women’s Basketball Coach Darin Spence Coach is in his 32nd year as a collegiate basketball coach and has seen his approach to the game succeed on all levels: NCAA D1, NCAA D2, NAIA & JUCO. His enthusiastic approach to teaching the game, has shown players how to make plays and not be predictable come game time. Ball skills, improving basketball IQ and understanding what plays to make are the main focus of his philosophy. Coach Spence has surpassed his 500th career win, showing that his approach can help you become a player ready for the next level. Coach has guided programs to post season play at each level and is a relentless teacher, motivator, and builder of programs. Assistants Women’s Basketball Coach Clarissa Krum Coach Krum brings an old school basketball IQ in a modern day way. Her ability to reach inside each player to teach them how to be better and show them the way, has made an impact on the programs at NU, Lubbock Christian, Western Texas JC, Howard Payne and Eastern NM. As a collegiate player, she helped her teams to national tournament appearances and conference titles along the way. Known as that forward who could knock down the 3 point shot, she was a tough match-up on the court and now she is teaching the game on the NCAA D2 level in a positive way. Your kids will love being around Coach Krum.
