Dear Laura, We've had so much fun in the shop today. We have been at quilt shows the past two weekends and it feels good to be in the shop without packing up or unpacking. Day Dreams arrived from Stephanie Brandenburg, one of our all time favorites. We've played with it off and on all day. And then we had Danny and Kiley here with their Mom - playing with blocks and creating some beautiful geometric designs for a one year old and four year old. Is that how quilters get started? Dinah finished the library quilt bag. Everyone has been working on it off and on the past week. Finishing a project is always a feel-good. September is Library month and if you bring in your library card, we'll enter you into the drawing for this bag.

Speaking of books, we have 3 different lines that would be great for Nook, Kindels, and IPad covers these are popular right now and would make great Christmas gifts. The best selling pattern for them is Terry Atkinson's Reader Wrap. Her patterns are always explicit and easy to follow.

This is a very traditional popular quilt and she gives you the history as well as ideas for making it ever so many ways. Panel Pizazz starts 10/10 on Monday nights. Darlene took a panel and used it as a center, but it is surrounded by 4 patch kaleidoscope blocks. What a different thing to do with panels! Sue Bruss teaches our Woven Basket Class in a Saturday workshop on 10/8. Just think, you'll be here for our Trick and Treat event.
