Dear Coach, I’d like to thank you for volunteering your time to coach the players. Without you, this program would not work. In this packet we have provided you with the tools and information you need to get through the season. As always, if you have any questions please feel free to call me or any other board member. Please read over this packet first your question may be answered. Thank you again for your time and help. Josh Gassen, President Your Responsibilities as a Coach ● Background Checks E veryone in your dugout must have a background check. This includes you and all your assistant coaches. We will accept any background check that you have previously done within one calendar year. We have set up a website through Sports Illustrated Play where you can pay $12 to have your background check done. http://centerviewbaseballsoftballorganization.website.siplay.com/ ● Equipment Deposit I n an effort to keep our equipment in good condition we will be asking for a deposit between $50 to $100 depending on what the equipment is like when you take it. You will get your deposit back if the equipment is brought back to us in the same condition with normal wear and tear. ● Find a sponsor for team shirts. Shirts are the only mandatory item you must have for the players; however, sponsors will sometimes pay for hats, socks, etc. Coaches do have an option of asking parents to pay for uniform items, but this should be a last resort. Order your shirts as soon as possible, you must have them before games begin. Tball coaches will not need to do this, tshirts will be provided. ● Scheduling practices and games o Practices will be scheduled with CB&SO at the draft meeting. You are guaranteed one practice slot at Goodwin Park, and if time and space allows you may get two slots. Practice may begin at your scheduled time the week after field cleanup, tentatively the week of March 20 th . Page | 1
