Dear Heritage Track and Field Supporter, Heritage High School Track and Field coaches and boosters are always looking for techniques, tools, and equipment that will provide the best skill development possible for our athletes. It has consistently been our goal to provide a safe, quality facility that meets all standards required by the National High School Federation. But with continual equipment replacement needs in areas such as the pole vault, javelin, discus, and shot put, not to mention the training and conditioning supplies needed for our sprints, jumps, and distance people, our budget runs low before we even begin to address all the areas of concern. In addition, we have the added expense of entry fees and transportation fees for all the invitational meets we attend. It is for the above reasons that we seek individuals and/or corporations who would be willing to donate funds to help support what we do. Our hope is that you would be willing to support Heritage Track and Field by donating any amount you feel is within your ability. You can help further, by forwarding this message on to other family, friends, or businesses who may be willing to contribute to our program as well. Any support you provide is greatly appreciated! If you have any questions or would like to request a receipt for tax purposes, please feel free to contact Brenda Knight, our booster president, or myself. Sincerely, Brenda Knight HHS Track and Field Booster President Heritage High School 7825 NE 130th Ave Vancouver, WA 98682 360-604-3400

What are funds going toward? Field equipment such as shot put, discus, javelins, pole vault poles, high jump and pole vault pits and covers, standards for high jump and pole vault. Meet equipment such as stop watches, shells for starters gun, computer software for scoring, timing system, flagging, tape measures, markers, rakes, shovels, canopies for worker shelter. Conditioning equipment including kettle bells, medicine balls, heavy ropes, javelin balls, speed ropes, bungy harnesses, and foam rollers. Student athlete support for fees, shoes, and spikes. Invitational fees which run from $100 to $300 each. Transportation fees for Saturday invitationals. We have currently relied on parents to drive. We would like to start renting vans so we can travel as a team. Miscellaneous team expenses such as food for BBQ, snacks and water purchased for meets, fees for clinics for coaches and athletes.
