Decatur Family YMCA Basketball Jr. NBA YMCA Program Rules by Age Division All YMCA rules are for the purpose of developing the athlete at the level of play that agrees with the mission of the Ymca & Jr. NBA. Providing a fun atmosphere that supports the positive development of the athletes is priority. The heart of these rules is help all young athletes focus on developing individual and team skills that progress with age. The calls of the referees will generally reflect these rules. No ref is perfect, but we expect that they do their best. We also expect all fans to respect the call of the referee which is final. Thank you for partnering with the Ymca in the development of young athletes. Thank you for respecting all league officials, volunteer coaches, and Ymca staff in the process.

We expect that all YMCA Basketball players behave in a way that is caring, honest, respectful, and responsible. Flagrant fouling, unsportsman-like behavior, and overly aggressive play will be penalized. Penalizations may include 2 minute penalty for minor infractions. Major infractions will result in suspension and even dismissal from the league if needed. Excessive fouling in U10 may result in fouling out at referee discretion.
