Committee Reports House—Santa Skate, lots of fun. Working on fundraiser for Feb. – will be 1st annual OMGHA pancake breakfast. Sell tickets and ad space on placemats. Looking at locations. Selecting date this week. 2. Girls—going smoothly. Lots of tournaments 3. Boys—Jr. Gold tryouts done. Doing well in tournaments. Lucas Decker Tournament went well this weekend—good feedback from visiting and our parents. Need to have conversation on FHIT at later point 4. Volunteer—feeling like they will be right on…no short falls. 5. Concessions—Sales last month $6856…needs to get expenses. Working on better checks and balance system. Comment—to make sure open for tournament games…this weekend not open until 9am…games started at 9am, parents around for 45 minutes…could have been an opportunity for sales. Ray commented that they should generally be open by 8 or 8:30am…something must have happened. Will work with Ray on better communication with tournament start times. 6. Dry land—everything is out of room. Girls Varsity team helped with clearing of the room. Just a wire cage in there going forward, this will make it more of the room we want and need. Working to get items off walls this week. 7. Girls Varsity—would like to have a rep at the meetings going forward. Would like to build a stronger bond…working well so far. Girls made 7 blankets for Wounded Knee School. Also have 5 girls interested in being player coaches...gave forms to Brad Dahl. 8. Tournaments---Lucas Decker Tournament—had lots of vendors, large silent auction, raffle tickets, lots of positive energy. Girls won tournament, boys came in 5th 1.

Old Business 1. Concussion Testing---Thursday had 66 players evaluated. Saturday had 142 players evaluated…1/3 of eligible players were testing. OMGHA did subsidies the event…will look into doing more in the future. 2. Ice Sharpener—School District is not interesting in pursuing…this items is closed. 3. Osseo Rink received new zamboni--OMGHA is working to sell advertising, working with school district for ok. Paying $10,000 towards OMGHA share of zamboni now, looking to do fundraising to pay additional $10,000— have one year to pay this addition $10,000. 4. Concussion Testing: 1. Thursday the 17th; 6-9 pm 2. Saturday, the 19th, 9:00 am – 2:00 pm 5. Traveling coach appointments – (See Traveling Committee Report) 1. Tim Kuebelbeck proposed motion for approval, Ken Helvey second motion – Voting members unanimously approved.
VII.
New Business 1. Dry land contract is up for renewal a. $9,500 to use it …weeknights it is generally full…weekends is it 1/3 reserved. b. Lot of teams using it for warm-ups, but not reserving. c. Working with City to lowering fee. 2. Charitable Gaming Manager—need to hire another Asst. Gambling Manager (non voting)…to manage all businesses… a. Motion on the floor…Mr. Appleman did second the motion. 3. By law change—official second reading. Means Asst. Treasurer could sign checks lower than $1,500.00 with only his/her signature. Would like it to be only for tournament…would like to update verbiage to include for tournaments only…it was confirmed that the verbiage was included on the first reading. a. Mr. Halby approved and second by Mr. Hansen. Motion was carried. 4. Pee Wee A compensation for expenses. a. Currently have Pee Wee A Asst non-parent coaches…it is requested that this is a onetime exception that the expenses would be split among 2 of the coaches that the association brought on board. b. Vote—5 Yes, 6 No, --motion does not pass. i. Additional discussion after vote – board agrees to bring to February meeting.

Osseo Rink improvements—New white boards to be installed in Osseo Rinks
