NEW GROUP FORMED The Quilt Cupboard is now a Quilts of Valor Group. Anyone interested in joining our group is invited to contact Esther at 985-354-0030 for more info. We want to insure that Louisiana Quilts remain in Louisiana for our veterans. Quilts of Valor Foundation (tm) core values are: Treating people with respect. We honor all faiths and beliefs, striving for inclusivity. Promoting excellence. We put the best possible workmanship and materials into every quilt we make so it will be a lasting award for the person it is meant to comfort. Valuing service over self. Quilts of Valor recipients come first. Being Accountable. We are accountable for our actions to our recipients, our supporters, our donors, and our fellow volunteers.
I have had the pleasure of mentoring a Morgan City High School student’s senior project. She decided to make a Quilts of Valor Quilt as part of her project. She will be awarding her Quilt to a LOCAL veteran on December 16th at 1:30 PM at Morgan City High School. Please try to make it to this ceremony as I think it will be something to see.
WE have received shipments from MODA of two different collections RED WHITE FREE and BECAUSE OF THE BRAVE. These are new collections by MODA and will fit in very nicely for our Quilts of Valor Quilts.
New in THE SHOP Panels, Jelly Rolls, Patterns, Layer Cakes, Fall and Winter MODA Fabrics
