DELTA CHI & Spring/Summer 2015
Louisiana Tech Delta Chi Alumni Newsletter
State of the Fraternity By William Allen Lormand “E” Thus far, the 2014-2015 academic year has been a great one. It all began with the addition of 29 new Associate Members after a successful fall rush. On January 11, 2015, 23 of those young men who chose to accept a chance for admittance into the Brotherhood of Delta Chi were initiated. Recently, three more young men accepted a bid in our Spring Rush class of Associate Members thanks to Rush Chairman, Salvatore Annarumma. The chapter has continued to uphold our prestigious image and values that separate us from the rest of the Greeks on campus. On November 8, 2014, our brothers performed community service for the St. Thomas Aquinus Catholic Church located on campus. This fall, President Madison Bottoms represented us on the Homecoming Court. Also, campus involvement—in organizations, committees, and jobs—has increased tremendously to majority of the chapter. Many of our active chapter hold positions in these organizations, including IFC and Student Recruiters. We also have brothers working in various fields in on –campus jobs, such as Athletic Media Relations and Flight Ops. In last year’s Greek Week, we contended heavily against the other fraternities. Ultimately, we finished 4th overall, but ended the week with defeating the Sigma Nu to win the volleyball championship on our home court.
