INTRODUCTION The DW660 uses a tool-free bit change mechanism, which involves two grips: one locks the motor shaft in place, while the other allows the user to rotate the collet nut independently of the motor shaft.

Step 1 — Collet 

Remove the depth guide from the top of the tool.



Press and hold down lock button #1.

Press lock button #2 while still holding lock button #1.



Rotate lock button #2 counterclockwise until you see the collet nut become loose.

Step 4



Remove the large collet nut.



Remove the collet.
