DFE Average Price Program Did you know that the smallest difference between the new crop corn futures high and low watermarks from January through September in any year this decade was $.99? Did you know the largest difference this decade was $3.34? Recent years have shown us that weather scares, global competition, changes in planting intentions and varying stock sizes can all throw a wrench in marketing plans.
Take some of the guess work out of marketing your 2017 Corn and Soybean crop by enrolling fall delivered bushels now in the DFE Average Price Program.
How the program works: Place any amount of corn or soybeans in the program. For 14 weeks, each Wednesday from April 5 through July 5, 2017, equal amounts of your enrolled bushels will be priced at the fall DFE closing cash bid for the day. At the end of the period, you will be issued a contract for fall delivery of grain at the average price achieved over the 14-week program. • Takes emotions and guess work out of pricing. • Evenly markets bushels over 14 weeks rather than timing your sales. • Don’t worry about selling everything at rock bottom!
Please call Gerry, Joe or Steve to enroll fall bushels now.
