It has been said, “People don’t change until the pain of staying the same is greater than the pain of change.” What was the pain faced by the woman in Pastor Frenn’s text, Matthew 15:22? a. Is there something that you have long ignored but should actually face? b. What fear keeps people from facing their need for change? 2. Do you have any responsibility for deep change in the lives of those you love? What is the relationship between the woman and the one in need in Matthew 15:22? a. Could God be leading you to bring deep change in a family member’s life? b. What do you think may have been the mother’s primary motivation? c. Do you have that same motivation for your self and your family members? 3. What was the mom’s deep change strategy for her daughter? In our day, should we have the same strategy? In what ways do we, following this mom’s strategy, bring our family members to Jesus? 4. Mom’s action was to bring her daughter to Jesus. What was the characteristic of her heart? Matthew 15:28 is a forerunner verse for Hebrews 11:6. Do you have faith for the deep change you need? Faith for your family members needing change?
