Mardi Gras is a big deal in Decatur and we will be there! There are many events and festivities happening around the city throughout the weekend and we invite you to stay Saturday night and Enjoy!
Hotel Block has been made at The Doubletree Hotel with a rate of $99++ and at the Home2 Suites for $104++ . Reservations must be made before January 17th, 2018 Make reservations on-line (Link on the website) or call 256-355-3150 (DoubleTree) or 256-822-1030 (Home2) and use ‘Episcopal Diocesan Convention”. Other hotels in close proximity of our meeting spaces are: Holiday Inn Express and Courtyard by Marriott
Registration Fees will be $130 per person which includes all Convention and worship materials, Lunch on Saturday, Friday night Social dinner and all breaks. A guest ticket to the Social ONLY can be purchased for $35
Registration will be done through AccessACS, using the same process used to update your Staff rosters. These instructions will be emailed to Parish Administrators in early October and are always available on the website.
Anti-Racism Training “Seeing the Face of God in Each Other” will be offered on Thursday, February 8th for anyone who seeks to build bridges of racial reconciliation. This training is offered in the spirit of hope and offers a positive vision of the unity that can be achieved through Christ. Details to follow.
Workshops are another optional event, held on Friday morning before our first plenary gathering. The workshops highlight several of our ministries and missions from around the Diocese and are a great way to learn more and get involved. Details of the workshop offerings will be available soon.
