Directors’ Message Director of Travel – Bill Gardner Director of Coaching – Nick Harrison Welcome to Spring 2013! The Winter season is coming to an end and the Spring season is only a few weeks away. We have had a busy off-season and have recruited several high level trainers to join WWPSA. We plan to introduce our outstanding trainer group in the next newsletter in March. Here are some key program updates for your planning:
Technical Development Academy (TDA) registration is open for Spring. We encourage girls and boys 5-12 years old to participate as this is the best experience to develop critical technical skills while working with our best WWPSA trainers. Spring TDA is a great springboard for players wanting to improve their individual skills for either Travel or Rec Soccer. Once again, we will be running our Friday Skills Program and look forward to 2 hours of advanced training and pickup. Our final Mercer FC Summer Select tryouts are this weekend and we anticipate some outstanding teams to be formed. Reminder: In order to get off to a fast start to our Spring season, all our players should start focusing on their fitness and endurance. Players should be working on getting into game shape now, exercising 3-4 times/week.

Mercer FC Summer Select Tryouts Feb 24th – WW-P High School South
Skills Night
Summer Select is a terrific opportunity to extend our Player Development Model, adding advanced professional technical skills training and highly competitive tournament games in a condensed 8 week period (June & July). We also have the opportunity to invite new players to join our teams and build the strength of our overall program and increasing the high quality of our teams.
This Spring, WWPSA invites you to participate in our Skills based Training program on Friday nights. We received excellent reviews for our new format offered in the Fall including an hour of professional Skills training and an additional hour of pickup soccer. The program runs 8 weeks for $65.

WWPSA Board Elections & General Meeting The WWPSA Annual General Meeting was held Tuesday, December 4th at 8pm. Both Paul Kelly (President & Team Administrator of the U-13B Storm), Bill Gardner (Travel Director) and Pedro Portilla (At-Large) were re-elected for 2013. We’d like to welcome Cesar Mejia as the new Director of Facilities, who we will all work with closely as he transitions into his new role.

This program is intended to accelerate development of the technical skills of our travel players. In order to ensure the best possible training environment, our skills training program is only open to players in Travel, TDA, and TDA plus. Please notify your team manager or email DOC Nick if you want to participate.
TDA Spring Registration Technical Development Academy (TDA) TDA is designed to develop the fundamental technical skills of our players from 5-12 years old and to prepare them for more competitive soccer in the future. All training is provided by our WWPSA Travel Trainers on our outstanding soccer fields in West Windsor, where training effectiveness can be maximized. Players are given the personal attention they need to develop as we cater to a coach-player ratio of 1:12 for all of our programs. Program is open to Girls & Boys.
