DISASTER PREPAREDNESS COMMITEE The Episcopal Diocese of Idaho has a Disaster Preparedness Program in collaboration with Episcopal Relief and Development's (ERD) U.S. Disaster Program. This effort is designed to create and implement a plan to mitigate the effects of emergencies and disasters within the Diocese. This program is designed to:
Enhance communications within the diocese pre-disaster (re: trainings, preparedness, etc. Build relationships with / liaise with other ecumenical, non-profit and governmental agencies. Organize preparedness trainings Conduct preparedness planning: creating plans and mapping assets for parishes and for the Diocese Manage communications systems throughout the diocese during a disaster.
The Episcopal Diocese of Idaho's role in this process is to facilitate the planning by congregations and other entities of the Diocese. Diocesan information for the plan can be obtained from the Diocesan Center.
