God’s Garden God looked around His garden and found an empty place. He then looked down upon the earth and saw your tired face. He put his arms around you and lifted you to rest. God’s garden must be beautiful, he always takes the best. He saw the road was getting rough and the hills were hard to climb, So He closed your weary eyelids and whispered "Peace be thine". It broke our hearts to lose you but you didn’t go alone, For part of us went with you the day God called you home.

He was an advocate of offering as many options as possible for children’s education, and thus, was an advocate for both public and private school education. With that as a guiding principle, Donald served as a member of the Board of Trustees of John Burroughs School, one of the nation’s most prestigious and respected private institutions, from 1979-1982. Among the organizations to which he belonged was the Oaks, a social club of which he was a founding member. These men felt strongly about providing both social and cultural opportunities for their children,
