Choosing your fabrics: Lights: You can either use a single cut of fabric, or a variety of “lights.” Using a variety will give your finished quilt a totally scrappy look. It is important that your lights “read” as solids. Avoid fabrics with obvious prints. Scraps: The more variety you can supply, the better your quilt will look.
