2016-2017 DRESS CODE MEMO The following regulations should be kept in mind when purchasing school clothes for the school year.
Shirts should be: o Navy blue, white, or orange o Oxford or polo with little or no logo o Tucked in Undershirts should be: o White only Spirit Shirts should: o Be worn only on Fridays o Promote BBLMS (or be earned through BBLMS – DARE, Honor Band, BETA, etc)
Pants should: o Be worn at the waist o Be khaki o Not have holes or tears o Not be cut off or cargo o Not be joggers Shorts/Skirts should: o Be Khaki o Be no shorter than 4 inches from the back crease of the knee o Not be cut off or cargo Belts should: o Be worn at all times o Not have a belt buckle bigger than your school ID. o Not have studs or grommets Socks should: o Be worn at all times o Be white
Shoes should: o Be closed back and closed toe o Have a hard bottom (no slippers) Jackets should be: o School appropriate (flannel shirts/long sleeve shirts are not considered jackets) Hoodies and Pullovers: o Are NEVER allowed Hair should be: o Appropriately groomed o Colored natural (no pink, green, blue, etc.) o Clear of wraps, caps, bandanas, etc. Piercings: o No facial piercings o Earrings not to exceed the size of a quarter Facial hair should be: o Reasonably trimmed mustaches that cover the upper lip and neatly trimmed facial hair are permitted. Identification tags should be: o Issued to your students within the first week of school o Worn at the top right collar o Worn at all times while the student is on campus
