Dublin Ladies Gaelic NEWSLETTER Issued by the Dublin Ladies Gaelic Football Association Vol. 3 August

2011

Na Fianna & Round Towers crowned Dublin Champions! The club scene in Dublin took centre stage for the last two Wednesdays in July with both the TESCO Intermediate and Senior club championship finals taking place in Parnell Park.

“Ladies Night” in Parnell Park has become an occasion not to be missed and both finals showcased once again the proficiency of our sport with spectators treated to two entertaining games of football. Round Towers of Clondalkin shook off the challenge from a determined Clontarf side to become TESCO Intermediate champions with Towers, Hannah Tyrell acclaimed as Player of the Match. Na Fianna proved to be too strong for reigning Champions Ballyboden St Endas with the Glasnevin club acquiring their second County title in three years. Mayo native Ciara McDermott took home the senior final Player of the Match award on behalf of Na Fianna. We wish both clubs all the best in their Leinster Club Championship campaigns.
