25% of infants and toddlers nationwide live in families below the official poverty line ◦ In Nebraska, the recently released 2015 Kids Count Profile indicated that 18% of children in 2013 lived in poverty (up from 13% in 2008)

Nationally, only 10% of eligible families with an infant or toddler receive a child care subsidy Nationally, only 4% of income eligible children and their families are enrolled in Early Head Start ◦ In Nebraska, 7% of at risk infants and 8% of at risk toddlers participate in quality programs (Kids Count Profile 2015).

Stand alone grantee
